Maat Viehhandel GmbH & Co. KG is part of a holding company with various agricultural business activities. The philosophy lived out is the same across the company and is based on four cornerstones: reliability, quality, profitability and sustainability.

As a one-man company I began to buy cows and calves from farmers in the area in order to market them as profitably as possible.

Maat Viehhandel GmbH & Co. KG was founded on 1 October 1997 in Demmin in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania.
2006
Schlachtbetrieb GmbH Perleberg & K&K Petfood GmbH...
Together with Thomas Telaar and Björn Müller, I took over Schlachtbetrieb GmbH Perleberg and K&K Petfood GmbH in 2006.

The construction of our new stable facilities is a project that is very close to my heart. Not only will everything there be state-of-the-art technically, but many things will also be improved in terms of animal welfare and sustainability.
We have been supplying beef and meat products of the highest quality since 1997.
Maat Viehhandel GmbH & Co. KG was founded on 1 October 1997 in Demmin in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania. The company has been based in nearby Vietgest since July 2003. Since then, the focus there has been on buying and selling breeding animals, working animals and slaughter cattle from the region.
Started as a one-man company, the livestock trading company has developed steadily in recent years. Today, it is an internationally successful company with its own fleet of vehicles and over 20 employees. Low employee turnover proves that the working atmosphere at the livestock wholesaler is very family-like and great importance is attached to fair working conditions. The first driver that Pieter Maat personally hired back then is still working for the company today.
